Welcome to the Tutorial Cafe!

The Tutorial Cafe was set up and designed to help eager learners with one-to-one help and art mentoring in order to help them improve. Everyone who wants to learn can learn, and everyone who wants to help can help.

We will try to help with anything we can, whether its from tones and colours, redlining the anatomy of an image, composition or even a paintover, don't be afraid to ask for help.

To Join:

Anyone is able to join by pressing 'Join Group'; it's that simple. When you join, it's better to mention in your request what sort of help you're after, as this helps us find the best help for you. This is not a psychiatric ward.

Mentors:

Co-founders are mentors. They help in whatever way they can. If you would like to be a mentor, you're more than welcome to apply, and we will consider it carefully. When you apply, big yourself up. Tell us all your amazing qualities and we'll make the decision.

To Submit:

Submissions must be in the correct folder and relevant to the group. This isn't an art showcase, this is a learning environment and so only works that you've worked on with the help of the group should be submitted.

Tutorials may be submitted to the relevant tutorial folders.

Tech tip - Sharing dA tags and html source code This is the least hideous approach I've been able to come up with without altering the appearance of the test and without the running into problems with dA's online text editors software due to the fact that they process the text bricked in the html … tag sequence. The following formatting workarounds will breakᴺ¹ the interpreters involved to get the desired results. Normally most of this would be achievable by using html escapes < [http://www.deviantart.com/

Hello members, watchers and random passers by!

=MAYGUSTA here, your new admin!

I have been working behind the scenes a lot at the moment and in the coming months, I hope to bring you lots of awesome stuff such as interviews, and articles written by fellow deviants.

The group gallery is going to undergo some alterations in the way it is organised to make it clearer and more user-friendly, because at the moment, it's a bit of a mess (sorry! this will take some while organising it all, so bear with me, haha!) and that just won't do!

New membership requests are automatically accepted - I don't know why there was a vote requirement before... seems a little crazy to me, but never mind that... it's fixed now.

There was an issue with affiliation requests and submissions into the group favourites, in that it required three 'yes' votes, and there are actually only two of us, LOL - that's been fixed and so those things only need one vote now.

If you would like to be interviewed, or if you would like to write an article on your area of expertise - or something related to art (ALL art - it can be music, photography, lyrical writing and poetry, water colour paints - or anything!) then just send me a note. Also, we could use some helping hands right now, so if you're up to the challenge of kicking this group back into action, then feel free to send a note my way with a short résumé on your strengths and weaknesses and you'll be considered.
